Minion's Mischief

The artwork is a diptych consisting of two separate canvases. The first painting depicts a reckless Pixar Minion kicking a stone that flies off the edge of the frame. The canvas is framed with an archaic frame that contrasts with the pop context creating a sense of assimilation. The second canvas depicts a painting of smashed Koon dog parts. This diptych artwork is alight hearted and humorous take on recent acts of accidental vandalism, in which Minions disturb and break into reality, wreaking havoc and ruin. The artwork prompts viewers to consider the controversial themes of vandalism in art.
