“Shaken Not Stirred” is a sprightly, bold piece. The hat, the plump lips and the pearl earrings are used to accentuate the feminine features of a woman. The title alludes to the martini glass the woman is holding, a common phrase used when ordering a martini drink. The colour palette on this piece is overwhelmed with yellow and blue- complementary shades on the colour wheel.

 

This series is limited edition producing only 50 prints.

about the artist

Abhishek Kalyanpurkar is a self-taught artist from Mumbai who claims to be in a serious love affair with design. With over a decade of experience in illustrations, Kalyanpurkar has developed a unique style of creating using geometric forms and vibrant colours to tell intriguing stories. A large part of Kalyanpurkar’s work is inspired from his love for Indian mythological stories and characters. Although some of his stories are from our ancient Indian history, all his pieces carry a contemporary, pop art finish.
