Known for his abstract style works, Asif Shiekh breaks away from his usual style to experiment with the Pop Art Genre, with his latest retro painting. His experiments blends together the nostalgia of the retro posters along with the fresh take added by his unique abstraction.
In this work, he uses the age favorite poster of Monaco from the late 50s.
He uses his blue tone abstract work, playing with the shape of the Monaco biscuit (now resembling a pair of glares), to contrast with the overall warm pallete of the work.
